Amazon India’s Supply Chain and Analytics team is looking for a technically strong analyst to develop solutions to better manage/optimize inventory placement and operations planning while providing the best experience to our customers at the lowest cost.
As part of Amazon India’s Supply Chain and Analytics, our team members have the opportunity to be at the forefront of supply chain thought leadership by working on some of the toughest problems with some of the best research scientists, software developers and business leaders. The industry is shaping our roadmap to make a real impact on Amazon’s long-term profitability. We’re a new(ish) team, creating new analytics, proposing new concepts and technologies to meet business needs, and needing multiple analysts who enjoy diving into data to analyze root causes and implement long-term solutions.
As an analyst in the group, you will work closely with program managers to analyze large data sets, identify areas for improvement, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, and create end-to-end reporting solutions that help leaders keep a close eye on the business. Areas You will also work with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analytics and expose our group data to broader teams in intuitive ways. As an analyst embedded in the business team you have the opportunity to participate in and shape program development as well as leverage your technical skills.
Main Distribution of Role
- Provide customer and vendor data and insights for better impactful decisions
- Automated data templates and reports
- Develop and train planners to organize and report where automation is not possible · Create and publish supply chain daily and weekly business review reports
- Create SQL repository for ad hoc requests and reports
Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
Amazon Off Campus Drive
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics or similar quantitative discipline.
- Technical Skills – Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel.
- 0-4 years of experience in Analytics, Dash-Boarding, Querying
- Strong Analytical Skills – Ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make
- appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusions.
Conclusion related to the business problem.
- Communication Skills – Ability to communicate (written and spoken). Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues in simple narratives. Ability to present information professionally and concisely with supporting data.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to engage with cross-functional teams to implement project and program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in reporting tools such as Tableau/Quick-Seat.
